Hello, we are developing apps within the iOS ecosystem at the Apple Developer Academy @ POSTECH.
About Bookaroo
Bookaroo is an app designed to aid children’s behavioral development and provide rehabilitation exercises for children with cerebral palsy.
Background and Purpose of App Development
At the Apple Developer Academy, we initiated the development of Bookaroo to offer health-related services to users.
Primary Target Users: Children with Cerebral Palsy
In Korea, the prevalence of cerebral palsy is approximately 3.2 per 1,000 children, indicating about 600,900 individuals affected nationwide. Globally, many children experience cerebral palsy. The demand for medical care is irreversible, suggesting a continuous increase in the need for rehabilitation therapy.

Core Features of the Bookaroo App
Aiming to digitize all rehabilitation tools, Bookaroo enables children with cerebral palsy to perform rehabilitation exercises at home. We are currently analyzing rehabilitation programs for these children to develop appropriate content.
Differentiated Approach
While existing rehabilitation apps focus on information delivery, we emphasize interactive engagement to make rehabilitation more enjoyable for young patients.
Encouraging Various Movements
Current App Store products primarily offer finger touch games, and physical training products often require external cameras. We utilize iPads commonly found at home to provide various motion recognition features for physical training.
